On March 17th, Global Youth Day 2018 took place. For GYD, the Seventh-day Adventist Church held a 24-hour broadcast to discuss the acts of service of young people around the world. During the livestream, 22 reporters from across Europe contributed to the event that was broadcast live on YouTube and the Global Youth Day website.
Global Youth Day (GYD) is a day when thousands of Adventist young people from around the world engage in acts of service to their local communities. GYD has the vision to recapture the reality of Adventist youth as a global movement mobilized for service.
At the Adventist Media Centre in Alsbach-Haehnlein, Germany, the Quicklink TX Duo was used with the Quicklink TX Control Panel installed on a separate device. This allowed the Media Centre to interact with reporters, prepare for them to go live, bring them into channels and notify them that their interview was over.
Robert Williams, Web-Development at Adventist Media Centre said: “It was a pleasure to use the Quicklink TX solution, which the Quicklink team has developed. Overall, we are very pleased with the functionally and usage of the Quicklink TX and would recommend it to others for their live events”.
