Red Bee Media, a leading global managed media services company, have adopted Quicklink’s Studio solution (ST55) for gathering high-quality remote contributions from their Mediadôme facilities outside of Paris, France.

Every day, millions of people across the globe discover, enjoy and engage with content prepared, managed, broadcast, streamed and distributed through Red Bee’s services. With international restrictions as a result of COVID-19, Red Bee required a solution to remotely introduce contributions into their productions. Quicklink’s Studio solution was adopted by Red Bee to provide remote contributions as part of their offering in France.

“With the restrictions created by COVID-19, we saw the need to implement a solution for remote contributions for certain broadcasts. Quicklink offered a reliable and scalable solution to do just that”, said Laurent Dovergne, Site Manager, Mediadôme in Boulogne-Billancourt, Red Bee Media France.

The Quicklink Studio (ST55) enables Red Bee to gather high-quality remote contributions from a laptop or mobile device with no apps or software installations required. Contributors can be invited by an operator to contribute via SMS, WhatsApp, email or by generating a shareable URL link. From the Quicklink Manager, the operator is then able to remotely control and configure the contributor’s device camera, microphone, speaker settings, resolution, data bandwidth and latency if required.

Laurent Dovergne continues: “The ST55 software allowed us to control encoding resolution and implement low latency feeds remotely. It has been valuable for our live broadcasts during this year when social distancing has been a constant requirement and we see a clear potential for more use cases.”
