StudioEdge Simplifies Zoom Workflows with Auto-Login and Enhanced Guest Management
The latest StudioEdge update introduces a range of improvements designed to make managing Zoom and Teams connections faster, simpler and more reliable.
From automatic Zoom login and guest handling to easier account switching and improved stability when working with multiple sources, the update reduces the amount of manual setup required when managing remote contributors.
Faster Zoom Setup with Auto-Login
StudioEdge now supports automatic Zoom login when the system starts, allowing users to get connected without having to repeat the login process each time.
Zoom credentials are stored securely using encrypted credential storage, helping make the login process both more convenient and secure.
Once connected, StudioEdge can also automatically extract the first Zoom guest into the first available Zoom project source. This reduces the amount of manual configuration required when bringing a guest into a workflow.
Easier Switching Between Zoom Accounts
The Zoom integration has also been updated to make switching between accounts more straightforward.
StudioEdge now uses Zoom SDK 7.0.2, with improvements to the sign-out process. When signing out, StudioEdge automatically opens the Zoom sign-in page, helping clear cached browser sessions before another account is connected.
This makes it easier to switch between the four available Zoom login slots, particularly in workflows where different accounts need to be used throughout the day.
More Reliable Zoom Guest Sources
StudioEdge has also improved how it tracks Zoom users when the same guest is being used across multiple sources.
Previously, situations where two sources subscribed to the same Zoom guest could cause a feed to stop prematurely. The updated handling improves source stability in these scenarios, helping maintain reliable guest feeds when the same participant is used in multiple places within a workflow.
Improved Performance on Poor Networks
QLPreviews has also been updated to handle challenging network conditions more effectively.
The improvements help StudioEdge manage preview connections when network quality is poor, reducing the impact of unreliable connectivity on the operator experience.
New Teams Activity Timeout
The update also introduces a new Activity Timeout feature for Microsoft Teams workflows.
This provides additional control over how Teams connections are managed, helping prevent inactive workflows from remaining connected unnecessarily.
A Smoother Remote Guest Workflow
These improvements are focused on reducing the manual steps involved in managing remote contributors across StudioEdge.
Automatic login gets Zoom ready when the system starts, guests can be brought into project sources automatically, and switching between different Zoom accounts is simpler. Behind the scenes, improvements to source tracking and preview handling also help provide a more reliable experience when working with multiple guests or less-than-ideal network conditions.
