StudioEdge Makes Remote Call Management Simpler with New Audio, Zoom and Guest Enhancements
The latest StudioEdge update introduces a range of improvements designed to make configuring audio, managing Zoom connections and working with remote guests simpler and more efficient.
From a redesigned audio configuration process to greater control over individual Zoom channels and improved guest picture quality, the update focuses on removing unnecessary complexity from everyday StudioEdge workflows.
Simpler Audio Configuration
Configuring audio in StudioEdge is now more straightforward with the introduction of a new audio mode for embedded and external audio sources.
Audio sources can now be configured using clear dropdown selections, replacing the previous combination of dropdown menus and radio buttons. This gives users a more consistent configuration experience and makes it easier to select the required audio setup.
The result is a faster, clearer configuration process with fewer opportunities for incorrect settings.
Greater Control Over Zoom Channels
StudioEdge now gives users more control over individual Zoom connections.
Users can log out of individual Zoom channels without affecting the other channels on the system. This makes it possible to switch a specific channel to a different Zoom account without having to interrupt or reconfigure the remaining connections.
For workflows using multiple Zoom channels simultaneously, this provides greater flexibility when managing accounts and remote contributors.
Improved Guest Picture Quality
StudioEdge also introduces colour correction for guest callers, helping to produce a cleaner and more balanced picture when connecting with remote guests.
The feature provides additional control over the appearance of incoming guest video, helping users achieve more consistent picture quality across remote contributors.
This is particularly useful when guests are joining from different environments, where lighting and camera conditions can vary significantly between callers.
More Efficient Microsoft Teams Meetings
The update also introduces new behaviour for unattended Microsoft Teams meetings.
If a Teams meeting remains unattended for 30 minutes, StudioEdge will automatically disconnect from the meeting. This prevents unused meetings from remaining active indefinitely and helps manage system resources more efficiently.
Smarter Preview Handling
StudioEdge has also been updated to handle preview generation more efficiently when network conditions prevent a preview from being created.
Rather than continuing to retry indefinitely, the preview process will now stop after unsuccessful attempts. This helps prevent repeated preview requests from unnecessarily increasing CPU usage.
A More Streamlined StudioEdge Experience
Together, these improvements make a number of everyday StudioEdge tasks simpler to manage.
Whether configuring audio, changing the account connected to an individual Zoom channel, working with remote guests or managing connections to Microsoft Teams, the latest enhancements give operators greater control while reducing unnecessary configuration and system overhead.
