Big news! Your Zoom workflows are about to get a lot more powerful. One year on from our official integration of Zoom, we’ve just rolled out three major enhancements to StudioEdge’s Zoom integration. StudioEdge already brings together Zoom, Microsoft Teams and StudioCall into a single, unified remote guest workflow — and with the latest version, the Zoom side of that equation gets even stronger.

What’s new?

We’ve been hard at work extending what’s possible when introducing Zoom callers into productions. This release brings three significant additions to StudioEdge’s integration of Zoom, each one designed around real production needs we’ve heard from users. In addition, we’ve introduced a Color Correction feature, giving producers manual control over Gamma, Contrast, Brightness and Saturation for each remote guest individually. Whether you’re running a live panel, a remote guest segment, or a large-scale virtual event, these enhancements give you more control and workflow enhancements across the board.

Here are some of the stand-out features you can find in the latest version of StudioEdge:

StudioEdge whats new

Active Speaker (Zoom)

With Active Speaker support, StudioEdge can now follow the conversation automatically. Adding to the incredible flexibility already built into StudioEdge, Active Speaker support detects who is currently speaking within the Zoom meeting and assigns them as the active source, which can suit simpler setups or workflows where automatic source selection is preferred over manual switching.

Caller Screenshare (Zoom)

When a Zoom caller shares their screen, you can now assign it to a StudioEdge channel, treating it as a fully independent source within your production. That means that you can output a caller’s screen content, along with their desktop audio if enabled, as a high-quality, clean, discrete output via SDI, NDI or ST 2110 for seamless integration into any production environment!

Support for Zoom Webinar

StudioEdge now seamlessly supports the integration of callers from Zoom Webinars, great for large-scale events, virtual events and branded conferences – allowing you to take advantage of enterprise and virtual event workflows through Zoom Webinars.

Color Correction

Taking remote guest quality to even further heights, StudioEdge now gives producers manual per-caller control over Gamma, Contrast, Brightness and Saturation, directly within the web-based interface. Fine-tune each caller’s image individually to achieve a polished, broadcast-consistent look across your entire production, all without reaching for a downstream colour tool.

And much, much more…

These latest releases also includes a range of smaller refinements and fixes to the StudioEdge solution as a whole. The world’s most powerful remote guest solution keeps getting more powerful!

Ready to experience StudioEdge™?

With StudioEdge™, the integration of remote guests has entered a new era of flexibility and creativity. Supporting Zoom, Microsoft Teams and StudioCall simultaneously, with up to four callers at once, StudioEdge remains the most powerful and versatile remote guest solution available.
